You can apply for student loan in Ghana anytime. The SLTF online loan applications are available throughout the academic year. The loan requirements and specific dates for the loan payments are usually communicated by the SLTF campus officers.
Documents needed to apply for students loan in Ghana
- Student ID card and Admission Letter
- SSNIT ID number or SSNIT reference number
- e-zwich card (both side)
Steps to apply for students loan in Ghana
- Log on to the SLTF website www.sltf.gov.gh
- Click the link to submit a loan application ( You may save and continue with the application later if you do not complete it at a go).
- While completing forms online, adhere to the usual directions given. (Upload a passport picture online).
- Print out the summary pages of your loan application form.
- The Guarantor Deed and Students Loan form should be printed out and completed. (Agreement forms and all other forms should be completed in BLACK INK and BLOCK LETTERS only).
- Have your fingerprints (Index and thumb) and your guarantor’s taken. Thumb print or finger print are taken at any SSNIT Branch. You will receive help from a SSNIT representative. And note that only SSNIT guarantors are subject to the guarantor thumb print requirement.
- Provide copies of the following documents:
- Student ID card and Admission Letter
- SSNIT ID number or SSNIT reference number
- e-zwich card (both side)
Submit 2 original copies of the duly completed application, as well as copies of the supporting documents, to your local SLTF campus office.
